Baggage Handling for Cruise Terminal at OLP

The 2nd International Cruise Terminal at OLP is equipped with baggage conveying system from Kinematik.
Baggage are placed on conveyor belts outside the building facilities and transfered inside, where they can be collected from gravity roller covneyors.
The system offers variable speed baggage conveying, controlled by inverters. If the baggage claim area is full, then the baggage infeed is stopped automatically, avoiding blockages or damage to baggage and machine equipment. In case the system is not in use, it can automatically enter into sleep mode for energy saving. The position of the rolls at the entrance openings is monitored to be open during operation of the belt conveyors. The system safety is monitored by special safety relay activated by emergency stop buttons, placed near all working positions.
